PMD Personal Microdermabrasion Tool
I like the ease of use and convenience of this at-home microdermabrasion tool. It takes just a minute to set-up the facial disc, and comes with a few different types of discs, even for sensitive skin. The kit also includes a practice disc, so you can safely learn how to use the tool before selecting the best type of disc for your skin type.
Since the PMD is made for at-home use, you won't get the intense type of microdermabrasion treatment available from a professional. However, the tool allows you to include microdermabrasion as a regular part of your your skincare routine.
You will need to purchase replacement discs after a few months. Given the amount of time and cost savings you get when using the PMD, it is still a good value.
Pulsaderm LED Blue Light for Acne
Blue light can help reduce acne in some people, according to several studies. I've been using a combination of red/blue lights for several week, and have noticed an improvement in hormonal acne on the chin area.
Using the blue light is an easy procedure, but you have to be committed to holding the light to your face for several minutes (5-15 minutes) every day to get the full effect.
Microneedling Kit
I paid a lot of money ($800) for three dermapen procedures a few years ago. The results were impressive. I was especially pleased with how well it reduced the appearance of stretchmarks. I've since learned how to do the procedure myself — using a dermaroller (or microneedling roller) at home.
This procedure causes a little discomfort, but is easy to do at home and it can be done monthly if desired. The roller will last a few months before it needs to be replaced with a fresh one.
